Hello, today I am gonna do a review on this one free online grading tool on website which is ThinkWave. Teachers can use this free online gradebook to keep records of student's grades and measure performance to parents. It includes a variety of amazing features for a free alternative, and making it one of the top gradebook software packages available.
ThinkWave is an application that enables teachers to organize curriculum, communication, attendance, and student performance through internet browser plus making it a time-saving solution to handwriting. If you are the first-time user, you need to fill in all the details as you sign up. Then, when you log in, you will start at the dashboard. From dashboard view, you can quickly access messages, students, gradebook, teacher's bio, reports and account.

For messages tab, you can hit the add message button to create messages for the students in the class. You also can attach files to the messages.

Next, you can access all of the students information at the students tab. ThinkWave systems catalogues all of the students in one place allowing you to enroll all the students in different classes. Here, you can see the students' information such as name, grade level, address and so on. You also have the ability to upload a photo for the student. At the upper right-hand side, you have online access bar that allow you to invite students. You can enroll the students by clicking class enrolment. Then, there is also late add & early withdraw. You also can assign groups by clicking group bar. You can upload any files you want associated with students by clicking files bar.

Other than that, gradebook tab is the main features of this tool. The first view is the normal standard grid. Here, you can enter grades directly by clicking on the field. The grades are calculated automatically. You can add assignment by clicking the add assignment bar.

You can enter the name of the assignment, date, type and also the grade. Here, you also can add the description.

For the class tab, you have the course name, credits, you can select the grade type, optional tags which are useful for customized reports. Then, you also have the terms and optional graded for standards & skills.

If you scroll it down, you can see schedule bar. Here you can create the schedule for the class. You can have meet on different period on different days.
Next, we have the teacher tab where you can add your name and photo. There also has email, address, number phone and so on.

Next, we will go to the reports tab. Here, you can access all the different reports in the ThinkWave systems. There are several default reports automatically available and you also can create your own custom report. Additionally, any reports that have envelope next to them can be emailed directly to students and parents.

Last but not least, setup tab. You can customize your ThinkWave system in setup tab. There are general folder with school names & address that normally shows up in reports header. Schedule folder, reports, online access and so on. You can customize the assignment types for use in class and you can copy assignment from class to class using assignment folder. Then, you can customize your attendance marks, add attendance marks in attendance folder.
That is the overview of the solo gradebook in the ThinkWave system. This tool is free for an individual teacher to use and also does not expire. There is also the optional ability to start a 30-day trial of this tool.
